I used the Illustrator to create this portrait. I made Angelina Jolie became a mermaid. I really love her films. She is has been cited as the world’s “most beautiful “woman. Each parts of my portrait have different meaning. The background sea means life and challenges. Jolie had very tough childhood in her memory. When she was one, her parents got divorce.
The top of sea has few lighting come from the outside world is symbolize the turning point of life and hope. Jolie came to New York t o be a students and then began to perform in the theatre as same as mermaid in Andersen’s fairly tale world. The mermaid is come to 15 years old to have the opportunity to above the water, see the world of human beings.
The back of tail is present the Jolie’s efforts. When fish want to escape the hunter, its need to use tail to move very faster. So Jolie is working very hard and gain the success. When we are children and go to the sea, we like to put ear near the sell, there are a sound of sea inside. I draw the shell that present the dream and voice maybe from Jolie’s self. It reminds Jolie to look forward and never give up. The peals on Jolie head are symbolizing the awards that her won. There are also few tattoos and three main peals on her face. Because Jolie got some tattoo on her body. Three main peals mean her three important things in her life include her career, her husband and her children.
